This evening lit me on fire after I had the fortunate experience of interviewing Tiera & Tiana Madry, or otherwise known as the "T & T Twins". These two truly are dynamite! There was never a dull moment as we whipped through topic after topic and beyond being absolutely gorgeous, these ladies are the kind of people you just LOVE to be around because they're genuine, vibrant and full of life. We discussed how it all began, going back to their roots in Kentucky and starting out in local theater and modeling and where they are today, having just finished promoting their new movie, Jack & Jill with Adam Sandler on the Dr. Phil show. They have many projects in the works including a treatment that Tiana is currently writing and another treatment for a film they were recently asked to star in. Additionally, a cooking show is in their future and after Tiera told me about a homemade vegetable stew she made, I felt confident this idea was right up their alley. Tiana and Tiera are nothing like the stereotypical twins where they finish each other's sentences and you can not tell them apart. They both have very clear and different personalities and their faces are specifically their own, however, these two truly possess a light that burned so bright, I found myself like a moth to the flame wanting to do a 6 hour interview. It warmed my heart that both of them value family and each other very much. They have a kinship and respect that rang very loudly, even when Tiera would dominate the conversation and Tiana would ask her to please stop so she could speak, they found the laughter at the end of that tunnel. In closing I asked them both if they had any advice to women trying to make it in entertainment or just general advice in life and after all was said, the message was simple, Never give up beacause you never know what will happen.

Matthew Atkinson - ABC Jane by Design
Just a couple hours ago, I had the pleasure of sitting down and talking with Matthew Atkinson from ABC's new show premiering January 3, 2012, Jane By Design. There were no awkward pauses or luls of silence, as he is quite charming when it comes to conversation and boy did he have great stories to tell! We talked about everything from growing up in the south to health and fitness. Matthew seems to be very collected and unafraid to completely be himself. One thing that really stood out to me was when he said "I hate fear or being scared of something, once I'm aware of it, I go out and try to do whatever it is as soon as possible to get it out of the way." This told me very loud and clear that he is ambitious about life, takes no prisoners and is passionate and forthcoming. He mentioned he likes to hike, camp, play acoustic guitar and hang with friends for a casual night out. As he reminiced on old times he told me a story about how he started out doing a play in 5th grade, he wanted to play clark but ended up getting the role of a slave and even though it was not the role he had intended on, he thouroughly enjoyed being involved in entertaining people and once he got his first laugh, he was hooked. We laughed about how every set he's been on the producers/directors and such are always wanting him to take his shirt off, and rightfully so, even though he had it on while we spoke (darn it!) you could clearly see that he takes care of himself. When asked if he counts calories, he said without a doubt "no." Matthew was a joy to speak with and reminded me of a friend from highschool with his warm smile and fun demeanor. I hope he gets everything he wants in life, as I know he will still remain grounded in his roots and true to his soul.

Vanessa & Angela Simmons Giving Back at Millions of Milkshakes
I spent a few hours today at Millions of Milkshakes being entertained by the quirky and cute personalities of Vanessa and Angela Simmons. These ladies were fun and more than anything, real and personable. They were there to create and name their own milkshake and to give back to society. Every dollar raised was given to the ASPCA in efforts to help keep animals more safe and better taken care of. They ended up naming their drink "Ala Pastry" per the suggestion of a girl that won a contest to be there. Joseph (Reverend Run) and his wife Valerie have raised two very caring and genuine women. Vanessa and Angela really seemed down to earth and it was so nice to make their acquaintance and be a part of their world, if only for an afternoon.

Jeremiah Brent - Bloomingdales -Rachel Zoe's NEW ASSISTANT
Hello to all,
Tuesday night I attended the viewing and shopping extravaganza of Rachel Zoe's new Bloomindale's store in Santa Monica created by her new assistant Jeremiah Brent. The layout was a mixture of white patent leather, rich reds and pure style and class. I was able to talk with Jeremiah for a little bit and he is truly a man of grace and kindness, remaining humble throughout the conversation, I could tell this was the first of many successes for Jeremiah and don't let me deny that he is eye candy to say the least.
A large group of us watched the episode of The Rachel Zoe Project where they hire Jeremiah full time and having never watched the show before, I was thouroughly impressed, laughing a lot, crying some and being thouroughly entertained overtall.
One thing that stood out for me while interviewing Jeremiah was when I asked what his dreams for the future were and he replied, "To just be happy, to keep doing stuff that fuels my passion." To me, this more than anything was the ultimate humble and truthful statement. Isn't that what we all seek, to love ourselves truly and deeply and to be happy. Jeremiah is, to me, a man of passion and joy and it was a pleasure to meet him.
